【摘要】:LightpenetrationmaybeusedtocontrolthequalityofmanyTRMs.Lightpenetrationisnotindicativeoffieldperformanceandthereforeisnotrecommendedforspecifications.ThelightpenetrationofTRMsmayvaryconsiderablydependingonthecompositematerialsusedinthematrixofthematorduetoinconsistencywithinagivenmat.Tominimizevariation,specificsamplesizeandproceduresareindicatedinthistestmethodtohelpensurecomparableresults.Thistestmethodmaybeusedtodeterminetheeffectofdifferentcompositematerialsandmake-upofTRMs.ThistestmethodmaybeusedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofTRMs,butcautionisadvisedsinceinformationonbetweenlaboratoryprecisionisincomplete.Comparativetestsasdirectedin5.4.1maybeadvisable.5.4.1Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatareformedfromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudentrsquo;t-testforunpaireddateandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwobegun.Ifbiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbecorrected,orthepurchaserandsuppliermustagreetothelightoftheknownbias.Note18212;Theusershouldbeawarethatthemakeupandpossiblemovementofthecompositematerials,andthelike,mayaffecttheTRMsfollowingthetimewhentheyarerolleduponrollsshippedandstored.1.1ThistestmethodcoversmeasuringtheamountoflightthatpenetratesthroughaTurfReinforcementMat.1.2ThistestmethoddoesnotprovidelightpenetrationvaluesforTRMundervariablenormalsunandsoilconditions.Thistestmethoddeterminesnominallightpenetration.1.3Thevaluesstatedasapercentagearetoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesprovidedinfoot-candlesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
